Headquartered in Belgium and employing more than 1,500 people worldwide, IBA currently has installed systems across Europe and the US and is expanding into emerging markets. The Company is focused on providing solutions in the fight against cancer.
The Trainee will join the advanced analytics team in DS. The team has been created recently to help IBA do more with its data. It is composed of data engineers and data scientists who are supporting the business with reporting and modelling requests. An important aspect of our work is to make data available to everyone. It comes with hurdles though as people need to know what is available, where to find it and what it means. That’s where the trainee comes in. He/she will be responsible for implementing an open source data catalogue solution called Amundsen. As a result of the internship, we should have a version of Amundsen connected to some of IBA sources, a good understanding of what the tool can and cannot do, and what we’ll need to build in-house to satisfy our requirements.
Required: He/she needs to have coding experience. He/she must have worked on a development project, preferably in python but other languages are acceptable as well.
Nice to have: He/she has experience working big data or traditional BI.
Internship period: 1st or 2nd semestre / Internship duration: 3 to 5 months
