About ENTSO-E

ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity and the legal body representing electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) towards the European Union. It gathers 43 Members from 36 European countries. ENTSO-E has legal mandates under the EU legislation and advises policy makers on any issue relating to the European electricity system and market. ENTSO-E represents the interest of its member TSOs on the European scene. ENTSO-E’s Secretariat is based in Brussels.

Mission

ENTSO-E has to communicate technical issues to the widest audience possible. To achieve this, we organize various event formats, most importantly an annual conference, in autumn 2017 and communicate through a wide range of channels (papers, releases, announcements, reports, web, social media, etc.). ENTSO-E is looking at modernising its image and at increasing the impact of its communication.  Therefore we are presently looking for a bright individual with fresh ideas to support our Corporate Affairs Team and to learn from us and with us.

Job description

Core tasks

The events and communications intern will be collaborating with the Corporate Affairs Team and especially the Communication and Corporate Affairs Advisors.

The role would be assisting the Corporate Affairs department to organise ENTSO-E’s annual conference and regional workshops as well as other event formats.

Help editing different types of documents to the needs of ENTSO-E’s range of stakeholders and target groups.

Ad-hoc administrative asssitance for ENTSO-E communications programmes and activities.

Core skills

Indispensable

Excellent English with very good writing and editing skills. Prior experience (internships or applied studies) in the areas of journalism, copy-writing, editing would be an asset.

Outgoing personality; enjoying to interact with people over the phone, in writing or in person and a service-oriented attitude

Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time

Diploma in a related filed (communications, journalism, event management) (recently? completed or in completion)

A strong interest for a career in communication, EU Affairs, or event management

Good knowledge of MS Office 2013 and of MS SharePoint are indispensable

Other skills

At least one more European language and experience in collaborating in an international environment

Creativity

Strong team spirit

Result-oriented

Reactiveness and stress resistant
