As the most convenient four-star hotel Brussels has to offer, we are located downtown and five minutes from the Grand Place.
Six on-site meeting rooms total 6,780 square feet of flexible meeting space with seating for up to 460 for dynamic events.

Job description




Position title:                         F&B Rotating Operational Trainee
Department:                           Restaurant / Room Service / Banquet

Reports to:                             F&B Manager / Banquets Manager

Work area:                              Restaurant / Room Service / Banquet rooms


Qualification requirements:

Education:                                Hotel School / Hotel Management

Language:                                English (Knowledge of French is welcome)

Experience:                             Same or No experience

Nationality:                               Any EU Country

Working hours:                        38 Hours/week – Must be flexible working in middle or split shift.


Basic Function

To help and support the Chef De Rang and Restaurant Manager to an all round high standard of service of food and beverage.


Duties and Responsibilities

At start of each shift report to the Restaurant Manager to receive your assigned tasks.


Morning duties:

Brush chairs, change dirty linen and collect clean linen
Clear and fill service stations with required items, eg. China, cutlery, linen,…
Cleaning (Mastic) of the material
Help with the set-up of the restaurant/banquet tables, service material, etc.



Breakfast service
Prepare butter dishes, crudities sets, bread basket
Collect orders from kitchen as instructed by Chef De Rang or Management
Help with service, clearing of tables and table re-setting


After service:

Help to clear stations and re-fill as required
Help to set-up ‘mise en place’ for the following service

Room Service

‘Mise en place’ for the different services
Clearing of trays on the floors
Taking down the orders of the guest, giving them the necessary information concerning the dishes and wines
Service of the different orders in the guest rooms

Helping with the set-up of the Executive Lounge
