Tasks

Modify URL structure so that the only components which add parameters to the navigation are the top-level Page components
Update front end based on UX designs
Delivering experiences to the hosts users and developers
Research, conceive and develop software to extend and improve
Contribute to a variety of projects and problems

Host Company

The host company is an up and coming start up with an innovative offering. They have developed a software platform that learns the way educators give feedback, so they never have to grade the same answer twice. This approach has been shown to reduce grading times by 74% and increase feedback given by 7.2 times. Their ambition is to revolutionise the way feedback is given in education around the world, ensuring feedback for all and saving thousands of administrative hours for teachers and lecturers.

Personal Skills

Working towards Software Engineering degree or other relevant
JavaScript is essential
Good to have: React Native, MongoDB and AWS
Good communication skills
Proactive team player

Good spoken and written English levels are required (B2 onwards)

 

We offer

All ESPA’s services are free for students and alumni. The benefits are:

1) Paid Accommodation.

2) Paid Utility Bills (electricity, gas, water and council tax) + Internet Access

3) Commuter travel to work (accommodation will be found within an acceptable commuting distance from the workplace, if that requires more than a sensible walk then a bus/train ticket will be provided).

This will be sourced and managed on your behalf by ESPA. These benefits have an approximate value of 700€-1000€ per month (depending on location).
