EAVI supports the adoption of initiatives that enable citizens read, write and participate in public life through the media.

Job description

EAVI, the European Association for Viewers Interests, is a small and exciting non-profit association promoting the interests of citizens as media users, through various projects and initiatives across Europe. For more information www.eavi.eu.

We are looking for a new intern, preferably with a creative and technical background, interested in the fields of media (literacy) and citizenship values to assist us in different communication-related works, mainly online.

It is a propitious moment to join EAVI’s new team! As we share and assist each other with tasks, there is an opportunity to gain skills, experience and responsibilities in the different areas EAVI is involved.

Your tasks would include:

  • Actively maintain content and interactions on EAVI’s Social media (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn);
  • Produce and edit layout and graphics (infographics, videos, flyers and so on);
  • Update and maintenance of EAVI’s website (wordpress);
  • Design and send out newsletters (mailchimp);
  • Be involved in other communication’s tasks.

Profile:

  • Highly computer literate; familiar with web content management and social media;
  • Capable of elements of design, editing tools and publishing software (proficient use of Adobe instruments and WordPress is preferable);
  • Excellent spoken and written English; and
  • Strongly passionate to contribute to pursue EAVI’s values;
  • Possibly be familiar with disinformation phenomena and be media literate.

The intern should be able to start as soon as possible. The traineeship is for six months (renewable). The intern will receive 1000 net euro/month under the CIP – Contract Immersion Professionel and should be able to work full time from our offices in Brussels.
