Job description

OMP has again some interesting projects/topics for job students/interns that have a passion for computer science and like to gain experience in a real working environment.

The different projects/internships are summarized below. For every project an experienced developer will be assigned to help you along the way.


Overview of available projects:


OMP Development Power Tools

During this project, you will implement several visual studio (2017) extensions that will improve the developer velocity.

Requirements: C# knowledge


Profiling visualization tooling

In this project you will be responsible for implementing (C++) different visualizations of profiling data to improve the interpretation of the data and to identify problematic hotspots more easily.

Besides the implementation experience you will also get more familiar with various concepts (cooperative waiting, task scheduling... ) of task-based programming.

Requirements: C++ knowledge


UnitTest Frameworks

During this project the goal is to investigate different Unittest frameworks (Microsoft UnitTest and GoogleTest).

Besides the capabilities of the unittest frameworks itself, also the way how the integration within the current OMP development ecosystem (VS integration/CI/code organization/...) could be achieved, will be an important focus point.

Requirements: C++ knowledge


Development enviroment

You will be joining the development environment team during this internship and will be assigned with a variety of topics.

Investigating the latest subversion release and improving the internal search functionality for the developers’ documentation are examples of possible topics.

Requirements: some scripting knowledge (powershell, perl, javascript)


Website implementation

Goal of this project/internship is to implement a website that will provide all kind of product release specific information (supported OS/Db versions, End Of Support information, External Component versions... )

ASP.Net Core technology with Razor pages is advised but other technologies for the implementation could be discussed.

Requirements: C# knowledge, ASP.NET Core, HTML
