Your impact: 

As a Junior Auditor in Financial Services, you’ll make an impact by:

  • Contributing to PwC’s purpose of building trust in society through transparent and high-quality audit work.
  • Acting as a reliable and adaptable team member, effectively managing your day to enable smooth collaboration and timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Ensuring that both financial and non-financial information accurately reflects the reality of how companies operate, empowering stakeholders, (such as shareholders, investors, supervisors, etc.) to make informed decisions.
  • Identifying key risks faced by clients, including those arising from a challenging macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, as well as emerging ESG considerations.
  • Building meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients to ensure audit excellence and a positive client experience.
  • Supporting audit engagements that serve a broad range of stakeholders, including shareholders, investors, regulators (e.g. NBB, FSMA), group auditors, and other key parties.
  • Contributing to various reporting streams, including financial statements, regulatory reporting, and non-financial disclosures such as those required under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
  • Leveraging automation and digital audit tools to increase efficiency, enabling greater focus on key risks, complexities, and value-added insights.
  • Embracing hybrid working (office, client sites) and home by collaborating closely with your team and learning through practical experience, while enjoying the flexibility to manage your workload effectively.
  • Learning from a diverse range of experts and specialists across IT, valuation, sustainability, tax, and actuarial services. You’ll also collaborate closely with them, broadening your professional network and deepening your expertise to support both your development and the success of the wider team.

Who are we looking for?

About you

  • You have a master’s degree in (applied) economics, accountancy,business economics, business engineering, civil engineering or another discipline with a relevant economic major, possibly via a second master’s degree. Your academic background should include a solid foundation in accountancy, ideally complemented by modules in financial analysis.
  • You are a natural team player who takes initiative.
  • You possess a critical, analytical, and open mindset, essential for delivering high-quality audit work.
  • You are client-focused and an excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • You are eager to keep learning and developing professionally, with a clear ambition to grow within the financial services sector.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a good command of English both written and spoken.
