ESPA (European Student Placement Agency) is a recruitment agency whose goal is to find high quality internships for European students in the UK. We work closely with our host companies to ensure the positions provide students with a great experience, both professional and personal.


The Host Company
This company is leading the convergence of Electronic Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM), helping create efficient connected processes which present content in context. More than 1,800 companies in 195 countries rely on this company, including leaders in financial services, healthcare, and the public sector. Since 2010, they have grown ~25% year over year on average, and have helped an increasing number of companies deal with challenges of the modern work place.
The host company is currently looking for a candidate to join their DevOps department, developing Electronic Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM) tools. They offer a friendly, dynamic and inclusive working environment with like-minded, talented and passionate individuals. The ideal candidate will be communicative, self-motivated and quick to learn student or recent graduate who is looking for a challenging and rewarding internship in which they can put their knowledge into practice, whilst receiving training and support from the host company.


 To contribute towards the development, maintenance and release of high quality deployment, configuration management and automation code to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.

 Ability to learn quickly and work with others
 Logical thinker who likes a challenge
Essential Skills:
• Computer Science, software Engineering or other related/relevant disciplines
• Experience in the use of programming languages
• Some experience or knowledge of LINUX, for example REDHAT, CENTOS or other
• Ability to pick up new technologies
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of some of the following would be useful.
• Familiarity with or awareness of Agile, Scrum or an appreciation of project management processes.
• Knowledge of coding languages, for instance Python, Ruby or Java, C++ etc.
• Some knowledge or awareness of any automated testing tool, such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge or awareness of Amazon web Services (AWS)
• Experience of Configuration Management Systems for example Chef, Puppet or Ansible
• Experience of source Code Management Systems for example Git

1) Paid Accommodation.
2) Paid Utility Bills (electricity, gas, water and council tax) + Internet Access
3) Commuter travel to work (accommodation will be found within an acceptable commuting distance from the workplace, if that requires more than a sensible walk then a bus/train ticket will be provided).
This will be sourced and managed on your behalf by ESPA. These benefits have an approximate value of 700€-1000€ per month (depending on location).
