Role Overview
The Zone Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating Transport, Traffic and Parking (TTP) operations within an assigned zone around the event site. This role provides on-the-ground leadership;
- Provide day-to-day support for all operational functions within the assigned zone, including transport, traffic and parking activities.
- Oversee and coordinate ground staff such as security personnel, marshals and stewards to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact within the zone for any deviations, issues, or changes to the operational plan, ensuring timely escalation and execution as directed by the Sector Manager.
- Monitor real-time TTP operations, identify minor operational issues and resolve them promptly while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Utilize real-time data and operational updates to assess traffic conditions and provide timely reports to the Transport Coordination Centre (TCC).
- Maintain clear and effective communication with TCC, Sector Manager and zone-based teams to ensure coordinated responses to operational changes.
- Support the implementation of contingency plans and contribute to continuous improvement of zone operations.
