Operations intern

Purpose of Role:

To ensure that all operations for your groups are completed in a timely manner.
To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all suppliers and service providers.

Specific Areas of Responsibility:


  1. Logging:

To update TourPlan with confirmations from suppliers and lost business (with clear explanation for rejection).


  1. Clients:

To acknowledge all amendments and changes from clients.
To make service reservations as per the client’s requirements in accordance to their deadlines and to deal with their queries in a timely manner
To edit all the documents necessary for the groups
To resolve problems on same day whilst groups are traveling


  1. Suppliers:

To negotiate the best possible rates with suppliers (contracted and non-contracted).
To ensure that the correct services are booked at or under the budget and inserting information into Tourplan.
To maintain close communication with the relevant suppliers at all times on the progress of the bookings

  • Number of passengers on the tours
  • Reservation of services
  • Options and deadlines
  • Payment agreements

To process supplier’s invoices within 48 hours of receipt and to resolve invoice queries within 1 week


  1. Other tasks:

To complete tasks any reasonable instruction from a superior.
To adopt a filing system which enables colleague to cover in your absence.
To develop product knowledge by attending training sessions, familiarization trips and educational activities.

We bieden aan

  1. Working Hours:
    The Company’s normal hours of work are from 9.00am until 18.00pm or 8.00am until 17.00pm on Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch, for a total of 40 hours a week.
    These hours will be your normal hours of work unless otherwise agreed between you and the Company.
  2. Pay:

    Your rate of pay will be £ 300.00 per month, payable monthly by cash. You will be paid on last day of each month.
    At the end of the internship the intern will receive a bonus of £ 100.00 per month (depending on the duration of the internship).
    You should complete a P46 Inland Revenue form, available from your supervisor, at the beginning of your period of employment.

  3. Holidays:
    Holiday entitlement will accrue pro-rata at the full-time rate of one day and half per month.
