Internship – Lunar Rover Navigation

This Internship position will involve working on our LUVMI-M project. As part of our Lunar Rover development activity, the position will entail supporting the design of the rover navigation software and supporting relevant tests on the rover development model.

• Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
• Duration: A minimum of 3 months
• Start date: As of September 2026

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Align with the rover team on the requirements for specific modules of the rover navigation software
• Develop the software architecture for one or multiple of these modules
• Implement the modules, with visual image processing and sensor fusion where needed
• Perform simulations to verify the performance

• Currently enrolled in a master’s degree in space engineering, robotics engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering
• Hands-on experience with integration and testing
• Experience with relevant software (ROS, Git,...)
• Experience or knowledge in:
• Planetary robotics / mobility systems (rover) – navigation
• Space systems engineering
• Enthusiastic and team worker
• Autonomous and rigorous mindset
• Good written and spoken English.
