What’s the best reason to fly halfway across the world? For some, it might be adventure; for others, perhaps chocolate and French fries. But for me, it was something even more rewarding: collaborating with my colleagues to make a real impact in supply chain planning.

Packing bags 🎒, unpacking ideas 🧠

A few months ago, I packed my bags and traveled from Mumbai to Belgium to attend the Life Sciences and Consumer Goods seminar at our head office. This wasn’t just another business trip. It was a front-row seat to be at the heart of the collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving that make working at our company so unique and motivating. These seminars truly reflect our commitment to innovation, growth and delivering the best solutions for our clients.

The perks of a global team 🌎

Being part of a global team is about more than just working across time zones. It means exchanging ideas with colleagues from around the world, understanding how customers operate in different markets, and gaining exposure to unique industry challenges.

One of my favorite moments from the seminar was a breakout session with consultants from different regions. We shared our approaches to ongoing projects, discussed successes and lessons learned, and brainstormed fresh strategies. It was a crash course in real-world problem-solving, the kind of learning you won’t find in textbooks or online courses.

And, of course, there were the unexpected cultural exchanges—like realizing that what’s considered ‘spicy’ in Belgium is very different from what we call ‘spicy’ in India! 🌶️

Smarter Problem-Solving in Supply Chain

Every day in consulting presents new challenges and opportunities. At the seminar, I had the chance to hear directly from industry leaders like Roche and Kraft Heinz about their supply chain challenges and how our Unison Planning™ solution is helping them overcome obstacles.

That’s when it truly hit me: we’re not just planning supply chains—we’re transforming them. Seeing the tangible impact of our work on global brands made me even more excited about what we do.

The Power of Face-to-Face Connections 👋

At our office in India, my daily work is naturally project-focused. However, attending this seminar reminded me of the power of in-person collaboration.

Meeting colleagues I had only seen on Teams calls, discussing upcoming functionalities over coffee, and sharing laughs between sessions—all of it added a new dimension to our teamwork.

Of course, no trip to Belgium is complete without indulging in chocolate and French fries. 🍟 But beyond the food, what I brought back home was a deeper connection with my colleagues and renewed energy for the impact we’re making.
