A full-time international traineeship in which you get to work autonomously on real projects and get a taste of various tracks: what more can you ask for? Much more! And we at ING offer it all.
What can you expect?
If you are a Young Graduate eager for experience and knowledge and with an interest in finance and banking, we might be able to offer you the opportunity of a lifetime. Along with many fellow youngsters you can now apply for a traineeship which immerses you into various fields, exposes your talents and moulds you into an experienced professional. You will get the opportunity to work alongside experts, travel for business to all sorts of countries, meet people who share your interests and work ethic, and even if you are still unsure about what it is exactly that you want to do: don’t worry. We offer six different tracks and you can try them all: Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Finance, Risk, HR or IT.
Still not convinced?
Laurine Bohoussou is one of our trainees in wholesale banking. After successfully finishing her studies she joined our program. For her the international aspect was key as this opened many doors for her. She could meet new people, encounter new cultures, travels and challenges.
‘At ITP everyone values your opinion. They expect you to challenge them and that helps you become the best version of yourself. You get to take on different roles and discover what it is you really want to do. And with every project and assignment, you meet new people. Your network keeps expanding rapidly. Also internationally.’
For Ruben van Iseghem it was his father who passed on the banking virus. Now with ITP he can turn his passion into reality. He had considered consultancy first, but chose for ITP as it was a better fit and provided the perfect stepping stone into the banking world.
‘I looked at almost all the traineeships that were offered. I also looked into consultancy but what didn’t appeal to me is that, working as a consultant, you never get to translate your advice into concrete actions. The best choice for me was ING’s International Talent Programme, because of the rotating jobs and the international aspect: you’re allowed to go on an assignment abroad.’
‘One of the things I noticed is that people are really open to young people. Everyone has to learn. The best way to do it is to shadow someone and ask a lot of questions. The more questions, the better. This accelerates your learning curve. Of course, this is only possible in an open company culture, like the one at ING.’
What do we offer?
We offer you the chance to work in a dynamic learner-oriented and open-minded environment. You get to choose the track that suits you best, but tackle various aspects within and take on all sorts of roles. Together we look for the perfect fit.
You will grow, be challenged and meet people who share your energy and interests.
