Are you a young graduate with global ambitions? Then you better keep reading, because ING seems to have a tempting offer for you. A traineeship designed to learn everything there is to know about the banking sector, about your main areas of interest and about working in an international environment? 

It won’t be easy, but it will be fun

ING needs people with the drive to take on big challenges and the leadership skills to bring others along with them. This is why the traineeship identifies three key area’s to structure the course of the program:

• Banking skills: learn the basics of banking in a broad perspective and the environment they are operating in. You’ll familiarize yourself with the “Think Forward Strategy” of ING.
• Personal growth: learn how to lead, communicate and collaborate.
• Professional development: gain specific expertise in a track of your choosing. Right from the start you get to decide your career path among seven different tracks: Finance, HR, IT, Operations & Change, Retail Banking, Risk and Wholesale Banking.

Every six months you will take on a new role at ING. This way you’ll be able to get an in-depth knowledge of the products and market of ING. The goal will be to achieve a CFA certification at the end of your traineeship.

An international network and experience

Not only will you be trained by and work for an international company, you will experience the global mindset firsthand. One of your rotations during the traineeship will be a rotation to one of the divisions in another country, to witness firsthand how the company operates internationally. But there’s more: every year you will get the chance to attend a global learning event with all your fellow trainees from divisions around the world. This will be a great chance to start your network, since you will be submerged in two intense weeks of collaborating and connecting. So by the end of the traineeship, you will be the global minded leader you wanted to become all along.
