Do you want to be at the foundation of smarter, data-driven pricing decisions at a global player? Are you a critical problem solver who can unravel the complex dynamics of pricing using advanced analytical techniques? Then TVH is looking for you!

As a Data Scientist within our Pricing Department, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our commercial strategies by using the power of data to run AB testing, cluster customers, calculate price elasticity, run outlier detection on price settings etc.

What will you do?

You will take the collaborate in transforming raw data into tangible, profitable insights for our global pricing strategy:

• Partner in Pricing: You work closely with the Regional Pricing teams to answer crucial business questions. You develop, run, test, improve, and implement advanced data mining and machine learning models (think regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis) to determine ideal price elasticity, competitive impact, and customer segmentation.
• Feature Engineering: You are responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful signals that improve model accuracy and predictive power.
• Creating Innovative Solutions: You propose innovative, scalable solutions, using techniques such as pattern detection and statistical analysis to uncover hidden pricing opportunities and risks.
• Crucial Business Partner: You are the strategic bridge between data and commercial results. You collaborate with business partners, understand their needs, and convince them of the value and impact of your analytical models.
• Translating & Communicating Insights: You visualize complex analyses and translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the business. Additionally, you communicate effectively with technical stakeholders (such as IT Architects and Data Engineers) to ensure the implementation and integration of your models into our systems.

What do you bring?

• You are a true problem solver with a strong, critical view of every situation. You don't settle for the status quo and always look for the most optimal and innovative solution.
• You master the art of communicating in both business and tech language.
• In-depth knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and working with large datasets.
• Excellent skills in relevant programming languages (such as Python or R) and experience with SQL and data engineering tools.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• You speak fluent English. Dutch is a major plus.
