INTERNSHIP - Hospitality Market & Strategy Intern (IKA – 2026 Focus)

Here is a high-level intern project proposal from IKA. The focus is on preparing IKA’s Hospitality vertical approach for B26. The idea is to use the intern to do the groundwork e.g. market, customers, competitors, internal materials. Worth noting that the below is based on feedback already collected from AFFs on how they would like IKA to support the Hospitality vertical.

• Project Summary: Support in preparing IKA’s strategic focus on the Hospitality vertical for 2026. The intern will perform foundational back-office work to build market and customer insights, identify priority hospitality prospects, and consolidate existing Daikin hospitality materials across AFFs. The objective is to create a structured knowledge base and analysis that can be used as a springboard for the future IKAM lead responsible for Hospitality, and to ensure no momentum is lost during the transition period.

• Key Activities may include:

o Market research on hospitality trends, drivers, challenges, and opportunities

o Identification and segmentation of priority hotel chains and groups (e.g. scale, ownership models, geographic presence)

o Competitive landscape and positioning analysis versus other HVACR providers in hospitality

o Customer insight research on decision criteria for HVAC solutions in the hospitality sector

o Collection, consolidation, and structuring (SharePoint) of existing hospitality-related sales and marketing materials within the Daikin Europe Group (SharePoint)

o Identification of any gaps in existing information or materials

Open / flexible background. Preferred profiles include business administration, international business, sales & marketing, strategy, or market analysis. Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to work independently on desk research and internal stakeholder interviews.
