About the Role

Byblos Bank Europe is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Information Security / SOC Intern to join the Information Security team.

This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about cybersecurity and would like to gain hands-on experience in a banking and enterprise environment.

The intern will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Information Security team in daily cybersecurity operations, monitoring, reporting, and security improvement activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring security alerts and events
• Support the SOC team in investigating suspicious activities
• Help review phishing emails and security incidents
• Assist with vulnerability management and security reporting
• Participate in log monitoring and security dashboard reviews
• Support endpoint security and compliance checks
• Help maintain cybersecurity documentation and procedures
• Assist with user awareness and security communication activities
• Support security projects and operational tasks when needed

Requirements

• Currently studying or recently graduated in:
• Cybersecurity
• Information Technology
• Computer Science
• Network Engineering
• Or related field

• Basic understanding of:
• Networking
• Windows and Linux systems
• Cybersecurity concepts
• Interest in SOC operations and threat monitoring
• Motivated to learn and work in a professional environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent in English (French is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SIEM solutions
• Familiarity with Microsoft Security tools
• Understanding of phishing, malware, or cyber threats
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
