Your new mission

Your Mission

As a Fundraising & Business Development Trainee, within the UFB team of 3 people, you'll play a key role in growing UFB's donor base and securing the resources needed to support Belgian non-profits.

You'll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Prospect Research & Qualification: Identify and qualify potential donors — companies, family offices, and private foundations — and build structured prospect files.
  • Donor Portfolio Analysis: Analyze our existing donor base through segmentation, loyalty tracking, giving trends, and churn risk assessment.
  • Fundraising Benchmarking: Research and compare fundraising practices from similar funds in Belgium and abroad to identify best practices and new opportunities.
  • Partnership Proposals: Prepare compelling financial pitches and tailored partnership proposals targeting corporate prospects.
  • Active Prospecting: Reach out to potential corporate donors through phone calls, emails, and appointment settings.
  • Meetings & Representation: Prepare and attend presentation meetings with prospects, representing UFB in a professional setting.
  • Donor Retention: Follow up with existing donors to strengthen relationships, encourage renewal, and grow their engagement.
  • Sales & Marketing Materials: Create clear and attractive fundraising tools — brochures, pitch decks, donor one-pagers.
