GoEuro Launches “A Closer Europe” Scholarship Programme.
Berlin-Based Startup to Offer €2000 to Student with Award-Winning Entry.
GoEuro, the online travel platform which compares and combines air, rail and bus travel, has this month launched their “A Closer Europe” scholarship programme. The aim of the initiative is to promote professional development among university students and to help give them a smooth and gradual transition into working life. The winner will have the chance to complete a paid internship of 1-3 months at GoEuro’s Berlin offices to be completed over the course of 2015, and will receive a scholarship of €2000.
Students wishing to apply must submit an original and creative project demonstrating how to successfully and efficiently achieve a more interconnected Europe of the 21st Century. Entries may focus on communication, culture, education, or any matter of topics and can be submitted in whatever format entrants feel best represents their vision of “A Closer Europe”, be that an essay, video, blog post or YouTube clip !
A number of Europe’s leading universities are already getting involved in the programme, with the likes of Oxford, Barcelona, Brussels, LSE and Maastricht among the first to have registered for their students to participate.
Manuel Robledano, International Marketing Manager, explains : “The aim of the scholarship is to reward the university student who presents the most creative and well developed idea. We want to help that student start off their working life with a solid foundation by offering them a paid internship with us in our Berlin office.”
Applications opened on the 1st October and the final deadline for all applications is 23:59 (GMT+1) on the 15th December 2014.
