Internship - Strengthen Our Cybersecurity Incident Response

About the Internship:

We are on a mission to enhance our Cybersecurity Incident Response Processes and are looking for a hands-on, curious, and driven student to join our team in Daikin Europe – Oostkamp (O-Forty). This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals and contribute to real-world improvements in our security posture.

Key Focus Areas

1. 🔍 Process Analysis

• · Review and document our current (AS-IS) incident response procedures.
• · Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

2. 🛠️ Continuous Improvement (Kaizen)

• · Detect process gaps and inefficiencies.
• · Propose tangible, actionable solutions to enhance response effectiveness.

3. ⚙️ Automation

• · Explore automation opportunities using our existing XDR platform.
• · Design and implement playbooks to reduce manual intervention, minimize response times, and improve efficiency.

4. 🧪 Walkthroughs & Tabletop Exercises

• · Help organize and run simulation drills to test our response readiness. (Ensure all roles are clearly defined and understood before exercises)
• · Track findings and ensure follow-up actions are documented and executed.

5. 📢 Communication Strategy

• · Develop clear, pre-approved communication templates for internal and external use during high/critical security incidents.
• · Ensure messaging is aligned with legal, compliance, and reputational considerations.

6. 📋 First Line Support Guidance

• · Create bulletproof, scenario-based instructions for our First Line Support team.
• · Ensure clarity, usability, and effectiveness under pressure.
