Finance Internship - Decathlon Marketplace

Our Decathlon Marketplace is a fast-growing global platform operating in 19 countries worldwide. We connect sports brands, third-party sellers, and customers through a seamless digital experience, integrated into Decathlon’s e-commerce website, offering millions of products worldwide. We are looking for a Finance Intern to help us structure our financial data and ensure our fast-growing business stays on the right track.

Working closely with our Finance Controller, you play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial flows and optimizing our processes.

• Building financial dashboards: Develop and maintain tools to monitor financial flows, turning raw data into structured reports that drive smart decisions.

• Ensuring data integrity: Identify inconsistencies in financial records and propose concrete solutions to improve accuracy.

• Cleaning and standardizing data: Analyze historical payment records to ensure reliability and assist in building automated validation methods.

• Supporting daily operations: Assist with manual validations, reconciliations, and account reviews to support the Finance Controller.

• Contributing to the closing: Participate in monthly activities to ensure financial consistency across the board.

• Streamlining processes: Collaborate with the team to make our financial operations smoother and more efficient.

We are looking for a structured, proactive student who loves digging into data to find meaningful insights.

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or final-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a passion for working with data. You have the ability to interpret raw data and transform it into meaningful insights.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and ability to work with large datasets.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Interest in financial processes, payment flows, and reconciliation.
• Fluent in English (French/Dutch is a plus).
• Proactive mindset, problem-solving attitude, and a willingness to learn.
