We are looking for students who enjoy working with people, providing excellent customer service, and working in a professional and friendly retail environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a Chocolate Shop Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional way.
• Explaining our products and helping customers find the right products for themselves or as gifts.
• Preparing and packaging chocolate boxes, gift boxes, and customer purchases.
• Operating the cash register and processing customer payments.
• Restocking chocolates, packaging, bags, boxes, and other shop supplies.
• Making sure products are properly displayed and the shop always looks clean, attractive, and well organized.
• Receiving, checking, unpacking, and storing deliveries.
• Keeping the sales area, counter, storage areas, equipment, and other work areas clean and organized.
• Performing all other tasks necessary for the smooth day-to-day operation of the chocolate shop.

What We're Looking For

• You must be a registered student.
• English is mandatory.
• Speaking one or more additional languages is a strong advantage, especially Dutch and French, as well as Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, or other languages.
• Friendly, positive, motivated, and customer-oriented.
• Punctual, reliable, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment, especially during weekends and holiday periods.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, sales, or customer service is appreciated but not required.

Working Hours

• Various shifts are available depending on the shop schedule.
• Weekday and weekend shifts may be available.
• Shift length and working hours vary depending on the schedule.
• We are especially interested in students who are available throughout the year, including weekends, school holidays, and busy tourist periods.
• Please check your class schedule carefully and only apply for hours during which you are completely free from classes.
• Flexible availability is a strong advantage.

Salary

Depending on your age, previous work experience, relevant skills, responsibilities, and overall profile, the hourly rate may be higher.

Final salary conditions are discussed during the recruitment process and are always applied in accordance with the relevant Belgian employment rules and requirements.
