CAPTURE is hiring! We are looking for a job student to support our team for the CAPTURE Academy in Ghent.

What will be your tasks:

• Recording knowledge clips (think: lecturers, promo for professional research, pitches of PhD students), in our videostudio or on location
• Editing knowledge clips in DaVinci Resolve (short animations, adding intros/outros, ...)
• Implementation of exercises in the online learning modules (H5P, Canva)
• Ad hoc assistance for CAPTURE events, creative website content and so on.

What we need:

• You have demonstrable expertise with video recording and editing (experience with Davinci Resolve is a plus)
• Eye for detail! You are able to verify the quality of your own work
• You can work deadline-oriented
• You have good knowledge of English, for contact with speakers and editing ppt slides
• You have strong IT skills and are familiar with working in MS Office, and are interested in learning new skills as well
• Professional communication skills are needed for communication with teachers and assistants, as well as with your team members
• You have an interest in education and more specifically the development of online learning materials
• Mastering Dutch is a plus
• Additional assets: knowledge of HTML, CSS, Canva, Adobe Photoshop or other image editing programs

Timing: inmediate start. We are preferably looking for someone who is employable in the medium term, i.e. current and next academic year. 1-2 days per week. Extendable with a contract full-time or half-time when you have no classes or during the summer months, by mutual agreement.

To keep the combination with studies feasible, times of employment are flexible, but communication is key! We look for students that are both available during the year as well as during vacation periods. We are flexible during exam periods.

Money? There’s no such thing as a free lunch: we pay our job students according to the salary scale 3.1 of Ghent University.
