Your new mission

As a Media & Communications Intern at Pacson Music School, you will become part of our Media & Communications team and contribute to the way Pacson communicates, creates content and develops its presence in Brussels.

This is a hands-on and varied role. You will work on real projects across social media, video, events, workshops, performances, artist content and external collaborations.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Creating and planning content for our social media platforms
  • Filming and editing Reels, short-form videos and other creative content
  • Contributing to music videos, artist projects and school productions
  • Photography and behind-the-scenes content
  • Supporting the communication and promotion of concerts, workshops and events
  • Helping with event planning and on-site media coverage
  • Interviewing students, teachers, musicians and collaborators
  • Supporting communication campaigns and partnerships
  • Monitoring social media performance and analyzing reach, engagement and audience behaviour
  • Identifying which content performs well and proposing improvements
  • Researching trends and new creative opportunities
  • Developing and pitching your own content ideas
  • Helping maintain a consistent Pacson Music School identity across our communication channels

Working as a Team — and Independently

You will not be working alone. You will be part of a team and collaborate with other interns, teachers, musicians and the management of Pacson Music School.

Some projects will require brainstorming, planning and creating together. You should therefore be comfortable sharing ideas, communicating clearly, receiving feedback and supporting other members of the team.

At the same time, you need to be able to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.

Once a goal or project has been agreed upon, we expect you to be able to organize your work, identify the next steps and move the project forward without needing constant instructions.

We are looking for someone who knows the difference between working independently and working in isolation.

If something is unclear, you ask.

If you encounter a problem, you communicate early.

If you have an idea, you bring it to the team.

And when something is your responsibility, you follow it through.

This internship is particularly suited to someone who wants to develop both creative skills and professional working habits while gaining practical experience inside a growing organization.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is creative, analytical, independent, proactive and excited to take ownership of real projects.

The ideal candidate is not simply interested in creating content but wants to understand how media and communications can build a brand, engage an audience and contribute to the growth of an organization.

You may be studying Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Audiovisual Production, Journalism, Event Management or a related field.

You would be a great fit if you:

  • Have a genuine interest in music, arts, culture and the creative industry.
  • Are creative and enjoy developing original ideas for social media, videos, campaigns and events.
  • Understand social media analytics and can use performance data to identify opportunities and improve content.
  • Have an interest in photography, filming, video editing and digital storytelling.
  • Are highly organized, reliable and able to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Take initiative, solve problems and can work independently without constant supervision.
  • Enjoy working in a team, exchanging ideas, collaborating on projects and supporting your colleagues.
  • Communicate clearly, know when to ask questions and raise issues early.
  • Are comfortable receiving feedback and continuously improving your work.
  • Can work in English; French is a strong advantage.

Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or other creative tools is an advantage.

Your Mindset Matters

At Pacson Music School, we value both independence and teamwork.

You will be part of an existing Media & Communications team, collaborating with other interns, musicians, teachers, artists and external partners. While many projects involve teamwork, you will also be expected to manage your own responsibilities, meet deadlines and take initiative.

We want someone who doesn't just wait for instructions but can identify opportunities, propose solutions and turn ideas into action.

Previous experience in the music industry is not required. What matters most is your creativity, curiosity, reliability and willingness to learn.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can start immediately and want to gain substantial professional experience while making a meaningful contribution to Brussels' growing music and cultural scene.

Most importantly, we want you to leave Pacson able to say:

“I created this. I worked on this project. I understand why it worked. And I can show you what I achieved.”

If you invest your time and creativity with us, we want you to leave with a stronger portfolio, greater professional confidence and real evidence of what you can do.
