Media & Communications Intern

Pacson Music School ASBL is a growing international music education and cultural nonprofit organization based in Brussels.

We are currently recruiting 1 Media & Communications Intern to join our team starting in December 2026.

As we continue expanding our educational programs, concerts and cultural activities, we are looking for a motivated and creative student to support our external communications, public relations and brand development.

Your Responsibilities

• Public Relations: Research media opportunities and support outreach to journalists, magazines, local publications and cultural organizations.
• External Communications: Assist with drafting newsletters, announcements, press releases and promotional messages.
• Brand Communications: Help develop consistent messaging that reflects Pacson Music School's mission, identity and values.
• Event Promotion: Support communications and publicity for concerts, workshops and student performances.
• Partnership Communications: Assist with preparing professional communications and presentations for potential partners.
• Content Writing: Develop written content for our website, newsletters, brochures and promotional campaigns.
• Media Research: Identify relevant media outlets, publications, community platforms and promotional opportunities.
• Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with our Social Media, Video Editing and Marketing team members to develop coordinated campaigns.
• Audience Development: Research opportunities to reach international families, students, musicians and Brussels' expat community.
• Communication Planning: Help organize communication calendars, promotional deadlines and campaign materials.

Team & Working Environment

You will join our existing Media, Marketing & Communications Team, collaborating with fellow interns and team members on shared projects.

You will work primarily at BECI – Brussels Chamber of Commerce, in a professional coworking environment surrounded by entrepreneurs and business professionals.

You will receive guidance, mentorship and regular feedback from our Founder & Director and communications team.

Start Date: December 2026

Positions Available: 1

Duration: Flexible, ideally until March 2027

Compensation: Completely unpaid academic internship, subject to an appropriate internship agreement and applicable Belgian regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a creative, motivated and proactive student who is passionate about media, public relations, storytelling and communications, and eager to gain practical experience within a growing international nonprofit organization.

Our ideal candidate:

• Currently studying Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing or a related field.
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Enjoys writing engaging content, press releases, newsletters and promotional materials.
• Is interested in media relations, public relations, branding and event promotion.
• Has strong research skills and can identify relevant media outlets, journalists and potential communication partners.
• Is organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Is creative, resourceful and comfortable proposing new ideas.
• Enjoys collaborating with a team, particularly colleagues working in social media, marketing and video production.
• Is comfortable using Google Workspace, Canva or other communication tools.
• Communicates confidently in English; French or Dutch is a strong advantage for engaging with Belgian media and local organizations.
• Has an interest in music, cultural events, education and entrepreneurship.

Previous professional experience is not required. We value creativity, initiative, accountability, teamwork and a willingness to learn.

We are particularly interested in someone who enjoys building professional relationships, communicating with different audiences and helping an organization strengthen its public image.

Availability: Starting December 2026, with flexible internship dates depending on academic requirements.

Internship Conditions: This is a completely unpaid academic internship. An appropriate internship agreement with your university or educational institution is required, subject to applicable Belgian regulations.

Internship Conditions

• Location: Primarily BECI – Brussels Chamber of Commerce, Avenue Louise 500, 1050 Brussels, with occasional activities at Pacson Music School in Etterbeek and event venues.
• Schedule: Full-time or part-time, depending on academic requirements and the approved internship agreement.
• Compensation: Completely unpaid academic internship. No salary or internship allowance is provided.
• Internship Agreement: An appropriate agreement with your university or educational institution is mandatory. The arrangement must comply with applicable Belgian regulations.
