KPI definition: Work directly with the founders to define the most relevant commercial and impact KPIs to steer BookBetter into its next growth phase: from conversion and unit economics to sustainability metrics.
Dashboards & data capabilities: Build clear, actionable dashboards that bring these KPIs to life, linking sources such as PostHog conversion metrics, Power BI, and CRM, on top of our SQL / Databricks data stack, to support prioritisation, decision-making, and strategy building.
Margin & pricing analysis: Make detailed margin calculations based on real operational contracts and setups (payment fees, booking fees, financial transfer fees, look-to-book ratio fees, and more) to sharpen pricing and profitability decisions.
Strategic thinking: Take a real seat at the table: join the founders and the wider team in strategic discussions where your analysis directly shapes the roadmap.
Customer-facing data products: Help create BookBetter's data capabilities by building live dashboards for our airport and destination customers, providing insights on bookings (e.g. setting up a live data model shared with partners such as Rotterdam The Hague Airport), and turning a large pool of travel data into valuable sustainability insights.
A/B testing & experimentation: possibly support the definition and analysis of A/B tests, helping the team measure what actually drives conversion and more sustainable travel choices, and translate results into clear recommendations.
Who are we looking for?
Last years of studies in Commercial Engineering (Handelsingenieur), TEW / Applied Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a strongly related field.
Internship of minimum 3-4 months as part of your university curriculum.
Comfortable turning data into decisions: strong Excel and data-visualisation skills (e.g. Power BI); hands-on experience or a strong eagerness to learn SQL and modern data platforms such as Databricks, alongside Python and product/marketing analytics tools (e.g. PostHog) and CRM systems, is a real plus.
Commercial and analytical mindset: you enjoy unit economics, margins, and pricing as much as clean dashboards.
Passion for sustainable travel and for building things in a fast-moving startup.
Proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently (partly from home) and in a team.
Fluency in English.
What we offer
Hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment, with direct exposure to founders with strategy-consulting and sustainable-aviation backgrounds.
A real voice in strategic decisions: your analysis will genuinely influence where BookBetter goes next.
Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause at the intersection of travel, data, and climate.
Mentorship and a strong network in business, aviation, and sustainability, plus strong potential for future full-time employment or references for career advancement.
Significant discounts on international train travel (conditions apply): practice what we preach and explore Europe by rail for up to 5 trips per year
We cover the cost of your commute when travelling to the office in Brussels or going for a day of work with our co-founder in Amsterdam, and we pay your lunch when working in the office. (non-remunerated internship)
