Your new mission

Your role

SaviKids is developing an educational application for children aged 6–12 that adapts school lessons to each child's learning needs, level and interests.

We are currently working on the design of the application, including its interfaces, characters, visual environments and interactive learning activities.

We are looking for a creative intern to join our team and help shape how children will experience SaviKids.

You will work closely with the founders on both the design of the application and the creation of visual content. You will have the opportunity to suggest ideas, explore different approaches and contribute directly to the product.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and improving the application's interfaces and user experience using Figma.
  • Creating screens, layouts and navigation flows that are clear, intuitive and engaging for children.
  • Developing reusable design elements such as buttons, icons, menus and other interface components.
  • Helping establish a consistent visual style across the application.
  • Creating and improving characters, illustrations, backgrounds and other visual elements.
  • Designing visual experiences for interactive stories, educational games, exercises, breathing and focus activities.
  • Using AI tools to generate, explore and refine design concepts, illustrations and other creative materials.
  • Exploring animations and short videos for use within the application.
  • Working with the team to review designs, test ideas and make improvements.
  • Preparing designs and visual assets that can be used by the technical team during development.
  • Contributing to visual communication materials, including social media content and promotional visuals.

The work will depend on your skills and interests. You may focus more on UI/UX, illustration, visual design or creative content, while also gaining experience in other areas.

We value people who can bring their own ideas, take initiative and contribute to the development of a product that is still being built.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Bachelor or Master student in UI/UX Design, Digital Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Multimedia, Digital Arts, Communication Design or a related field.

We are particularly interested in someone who enjoys both creative design and working with new AI tools.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have a good eye for design, colours, composition and visual consistency.
  • Enjoy creating digital interfaces, illustrations or other visual content.
  • Are familiar with Figma or motivated to develop your skills with it.
  • Have experience experimenting with generative AI tools for design, images or creative projects, or a strong interest in learning to use them.
  • Enjoy exploring different ideas and improving your work through feedback.
  • Can think about how children will understand and interact with what you design.
  • Are creative, curious and open to trying new approaches.
  • Are organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
  • Can manage your tasks independently and communicate regularly with the team.
  • Enjoy working in a small team where your ideas and contributions matter.
  • Are interested in education, technology and creating meaningful experiences for children.

Experience in character design, illustration, animation, motion design, 3D or gaming is an advantage, but not required.

We do not expect you to know every tool or have professional experience. We are looking for someone with good creative skills, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in using AI as part of the design process.

Previous professional experience is not required.

English is the main working language. French is an advantage but is not required.

What you will gain from the internship

At SaviKids, you will join a small team working on an educational application that is still in development.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design of a real product and see how your work is used as the application progresses.

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain practical experience in UI/UX and digital product design.
  • Work with Figma on real application screens, user flows and reusable components.
  • Use AI-assisted creative tools as part of your daily design work.
  • Develop illustrations, characters, environments and other visual assets.
  • Learn how visual designs are prepared for implementation in an application.
  • Understand how design choices influence the way children interact with and learn through technology.
  • Work directly with the founders and collaborate with the technical team.
  • Participate in design discussions, contribute ideas and receive feedback on your work.
  • Experience the development of a digital product from design to testing and preparation for launch.
  • Learn how a small startup operates, makes decisions and develops its product.
  • Build a portfolio of practical work and gain experience that can support your future career.
  • Contribute to a project that aims to make learning more accessible and engaging for children with different learning needs.

You will be involved in real tasks and will have the opportunity to take responsibility for specific parts of the design process.

There may be an opportunity to continue working with SaviKids after the internship, depending on the development of the project, individual performance and available funding.

Internship conditions

  • Duration: 2–6 months
  • Schedule: Full-time or part-time, depending on university requirements and availability
  • Work format: Primarily remote
  • Languages: English; French is an advantage but not required
  • Compensation: Unpaid
  • Framework: Academic internship under a formal agreement with the student's university or higher education institution

Important: This position is intended for students completing an internship as part of their university or higher education programme. A formal internship agreement between the student, the educational institution and SaviKids is required.

The applicable insurance and administrative arrangements must be confirmed with the educational institution before the internship begins.

Who are we looking for?
