Are you looking for a student job in the heart of Brussels? Treats Belgian Desserts is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-oriented students to join our team throughout the year.

Our shop is located just steps away from the Grand Place, in one of Brussels' busiest tourist areas. Every day, you'll meet customers from all over the world while working in a fast-paced and friendly dessert café environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a Dessert Café Team Member, your tasks will include:

• Welcoming and assisting customers.
• Taking and preparing customer orders.
• Preparing coffees and other hot drinks.
• Making smoothies and milkshakes.
• Preparing chocolate-covered strawberries and other desserts.
• Serving and presenting desserts according to our standards.
• Operating the cash register.
• Restocking ingredients, drinks, packaging, and other supplies.
• Keeping the counter, equipment, kitchen/work areas, and customer areas clean and organized.
• Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
• Assisting with stock management.
• Performing all other tasks necessary for the smooth day-to-day operation of the café.

What We're Looking For

• You must be a registered student.
• English is mandatory.
• Speaking one or more additional languages is a strong advantage (French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, etc.).
• Friendly, motivated, punctual, responsible, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working with customers and in a busy environment.
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a café, horeca, retail, or customer service is appreciated but not required.

Working Hours

• Both day and evening shifts are available.
• Evening shifts may include hours from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
• Shift length and hours vary depending on the schedule.
• We are looking for students who are available throughout the year.
• Please check your class schedule carefully and only apply for hours during which you are completely free from classes.
• Flexible availability is a strong advantage.

Salary

Salary is paid according to the applicable Belgian legal salary scale and depends on the student's age and applicable employment conditions.

Nous recherchons un étudiant motivé, fiable, ponctuel et à l’aise avec les clients. Un bon niveau d’anglais est requis. Le français, le néerlandais, l’espagnol ou toute autre langue est un plus. Une expérience en horeca, café ou vente est appréciée mais n’est pas obligatoire. Des shifts en journée et en soirée sont disponibles, notamment de 21h00 à 1h00 pour les shifts du soir. Une disponibilité flexible est un plus.
